Station 11
Station 11 is now home to Engine 11, Wildland 11, Water Tender 11, and Fast Response 11. Since Station 11’s response area is predominately hilly areas with plenty of vegetation, this station gives homeowners a vote of confidence to prevent brush fires from ravaging their homes.
Engine 11
Castle Beach Fire Department Engine 11 was formed in late 2018 to address the needs of an additional station in the eastern part of Castle Beach where vegetation and brush areas could ignite. Engine 11 was purchased used from the local Pierce dealer back in 2016 and was originally designated as Engine 208 before transitioning to Engine 11. The apparatus is one of three frontline engines with All-Wheel-Drive capabilities and a raised suspension. A unique feature of this rig is the bumper mounted Akron monitor, which is useful for fighting brush fires.

Water Tender 11
CBFD Water Tender 11 was purchased in 2004 to supply water for brush fires and is one of two water tenders. Water Tender 11 is also the last of the first generation Pierce Quantum cabs in service at Castle Beach. All Quantums purchased by the department between 1998 and 2004 have already been sold, traded-in, or donated. WT11 is also equipped like any of the frontline triple combinations except that it has less attack hose due to the portable tank located in the hosebed. During brushfire season, WT11 is staffed by 2 firefighters.

Fast Response 11
Fast Response 5 and 11 are twin 2017 Ford F-450 Type VI quick response vehicles. Designed to assist with the increasing EMS calls and deal with brush fires, these new rigs will supplement the frontline rigs of the department. Staffed by 2 firefighter/paramedics, the Fast Response vehicles are certified ALS non-transport vehicles. Suppression capabilities include a bumper-mounted monitor that allows firefighters to attack a fire from the cab, spray nozzles underneath the rig that spray around the apparatus to protect it from embers, a hose reel to deal with nuisance fires, and the ability to flow foam out of multiple lines. There is also a large 2000 gpm monitor mounted on top of the rig to assist with deckgun operations. Its tiny footprint allows the rig to get where larger rigs cannot go and hit the fire with a significant amount of water. In addition, the rig carries a Holmatro Combi tool for rapid intervention, and a variety of wildland tools.
