Station 10
Castle Beach International Airport (CBX)
In late 2017, Castle Beach Fire Department agreed to take over fire and rescue duties at Castle Beach International Airport in an effort to consolidate resources. Prior to the merger, CBFD Station 1 responded to incidents at CBX, but now, CBX has 2 dedicated stations (Station 10 and Station 15). Station 10 houses Engine 10, Truck 10, Engine 210, Squad 10, Fast Response 10, Foam 10, Foam 110, Foam 210, Rescue Ambulance 10, and Battalion 4.
Engine 10
Castle Beach Fire Dept has placed Engine 10 in service! In accordance with the department wide reorganization, most of the frontline engines are being standardized to streamline both maintenance and use of the vehicle during incidents. Since Engine 10 is located at the airport, several additions were made to the triple spec including a larger water tank, and extra tools specific for ARFF.

Engine 210
Engine 210 has been updated with a 66’ Stinger HRET! This 2018 Rosenbauer Commander is the second fully staffed “200” series engine (after Engine 205). The 4x4 capabilities allow the rig to off-road when necessary. Because this apparatus carries extra equipment for ARFF in addition to the standard engine company tools and ALS equipment, Engine 210 has larger compartments than the regular Castle Beach Fire Department engines.

Truck 10
Truck 10 has received updated graphics before returning to service at Station 10 - CBX. As one can immediately tell, this rig is different than the other frontline truck companies at Castle Beach Fire Department. The most obvious difference is the color scheme. While the other truck companies are red with a white stripe, Truck 10 is lime green with a reflective blue stripe to aid in visualization as it is the first due truck company at CBX. Another huge difference is the fact that this is a quint. As the airport has many terminals and cargo areas, the potential for fire to spread to a large amount of space in a short time is a possible scenario that may occur. Hence, all the frontline suppression apparatus are equipped with a pump and tank to assist with fire alarms. Also, Truck 10 will be the second truck company (after Truck 5) to be fully staffed and will be a separate company from Engine 210. In addition, Truck 10 stores several of the Holmatro extraction equipment in the bumper as the large first compartment was replaced by the pump.
