Mt. Studstown is a bustling city northeast of Castle Beach and is frequently called upon for M/A. Operating out of three stations, Mount Studstown Fire Department responds to roughly 7500 calls per year. Station 22 is the busiest house in the city and houses Rescue 22, Truck 22, Rescue Ambulance 22, and Battalion Chief 22.
Rescue 22
Mt. Studstown has taken delivery of a brand new 2019 Pierce Quantum PUC rescue engine, replacing a 2002 Spartan/Luverne engine and a 1995 HME/Saulsbury rescue! Rescue 22 is built on a Pierce Quantum tandem axle chassis to accommodate the weight of the necessary equipment. The new rig essentially consolidated the functions of the former Engine 22 and Rescue 22 to maximize efficiency. With over 50 miles of highways as well as multiple first due assignments, this rig will see plenty of action!

The Quantum returns! Now in its 7th original design, this Pierce Quantum might be my best 6-wide representation of the real cab! I absolutely had a blast putting this rig together!

Truck 22
Mt. Studstown Tower Ladder 22, is a 2014 Seagrave Marauder II/ 1986 Baker 75’ Aerialscope. When the Aerialscope device was remounted in 2014, the apparatus committee looked into placing it on a larger chassis. However, many of the streets in Mt Studstown are crowded and would make it difficult for a longer rig to maneuver. TL22 is staffed by a crew of 4 and carries structural firefighting gear and limited technical rescue gear.
Technical specs:
2014 Seagrave Marauder II/ 1986 Baker 75’ Aerialscope
Cummins ISX 450-hp engine
Whelen lighting
Dual Federal Signal Q2B sirens
Whelen Epsilon siren
Grover air horns
NightScan PowerLite
1500 gpm pump
Structural firefighting equipment (saws, hooks, forcible entry)
Holmatro extraction equipment
Technical rescue gear

David H for the amazing Aerialscope design
Builder’s note: Revising this Truck was on my to-do list for the longest time, and with Rescue 22 completed last week, it was time to update its stablemate! Larger tires and decals were added to this rig. Probably my most favorite part of this rig (other than the three extending sections) is the Aerialscope logo on the boom!

Battalion Chief 22
The new Battalion Chief vehicle has arrived! Castle Beach originally purchased four RAM 3500 4x4 pickups to replace the Chevy Suburbans. After the order was placed, Mt. Studstown and Pasalego were able to tag onto the order and thus save time and money. One of the biggest additions to the battalion chief vehicles is the NightScan Powerlite, which was a popular request.
