Brickerly Hills is a small upscale community in northeast Los Angelego County. Brickerly Hills Fire Department protects the city via three stations, Station 51, 52, & 53.
Squad 51
Squad 51 is a unique two-piece company that acts as the heavy rescue/hazmat company for the department. Both pieces always respond together as one unit and is staffed by 6 men. In addition, the squad can act as an engine company or truck company depending on the Incident Commander. The unique boom on the primary piece extends 55 feet and can assist with technical rescue situations or as an elevated master stream. It’s small footprint allows the rig to be setup in tight alleys where larger tower ladders cannot fit. The primary piece carries engine company tools, forcible entry tools, and the Holmatro extraction equipment. The second piece carries the specialized rescue and hazmat gear.
