March -April 2016: Department has received Engines 2, 102, 3, 4, and 5, Truck 2, Rescue 1, Hazmat 1. Trucks 4 and 5 are currently in production at Seagrave and Smeal respectively. Decon 1 is also being refurbished at this time.
August 2016: The city of Castle Beach has just agreed to annex the city of Sequoia and the city of Blue Hills. Part of this acquisition involves the takeover of police, fire, and public utilities. For the fire department, FDCB will add 2 stations, one from each of the cities. The fire apparatus that will be acquired and renamed are as follows:
Former Sequoia FD Engine 1 will be renamed Engine 6 and is a 2006 KME SS triple combination engine.
Former Sequoia FD Rescue Engine 2 will be renamed Engine 106 and is a 2013 E-ONE eMAX rescue engine.
Former Sequoia FD Truck 1 will be renamed Truck 6 and is a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT 100' rear-mount tower.
Former Blue Hills Engine 1 will be renamed Engine 107 and is a 2007 Pierce Enforcer triple combination engine.
Former Blue Hills Truck 1 will be renamed Truck 7 and is a 2017 Pierce Quantum/1991 Baker 95' Aerialscope.
September 10, 2016: FDCB has purchased a used 2008 Pierce Saber PUC from a local Pierce dealer. It will serve as Engine 105 to alleviate the wear and tear on Engine 5. See Station 5 page for more details!
September 20, 2016: FDCB received Engine 106 from refurbishment. It will serve as Engine 106. See station 6 page for more details!
September 26, 2016: FDCB received Engine 6, Truck 6, Engine 107, and Truck 7 from the shops! See associated station pages!
September 30, 2016: FDCB has placed Engine 104 in service! Check out Station 4 for more information!
November 29, 2016: Squad 1 was totaled in an accident yesterday. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Department is looking to see whether it would be viable to replace the apparatus as it is not receiving too many calls.
December 2016: FDCB is receiving 4 new Pierce Arrow XT engines, 2 Pierce Arrow XT tillers, 1 Pierce Quantum Heavy Rescue, and an SSV Tiger II 4x4 for Foam 1.
