January 2015: Engine 1, Engine 101, Truck 1, Engine 2, and Rescue 1 all receive new apparatus from Pierce.
February 25, 2015: Rescue 1 is back in the shops receiving maintenance after DD13 engine failed to function normally when it responded to a fire yesterday. In addition, there have been problems with the pump, as there were flow problems during a separate incident 2 weeks ago. Since those two components were not made by Pierce, the in-house technicians are attempting to repair the apparatus. If it is deemed that the apparatus will be out more than two weeks, an immediate replacement will be drawn up by the department. In addition, because the warranty of the vehicle is still good, there should be no additional costs to purchase a replacement for Rescue 1, given that the specs will remain the same. However, this is subject to change because the captain of Rescue 1 deems the vehicle inadequate in carrying all the proper equipment to a scene.
