June 2017: Truck 7, which is a 2017 Pierce Quantum/95' Aerialscope will be relegated to Station 2, where it will be established as a new company, Rescue Platform 2. Truck 7 will be replaced by a used 1998 Simon Duplex 100' tiller. Although the "new" tiller is much older than the current rig, it contains the space required for truck company operations. Also, the previous owners took excellent care of the rig, but the rig will be sent to the local dealer for a complete refurbishment of the compartments, ladder certification, and engine block replacement. Station 2 is also receiving a brand new rig, Heavy Rescue 2. This will replace the crane function of US&R 2. The crane of US&R 2 will be removed and roof compartments will be installed by the shop mechanics. US&R Task Force 2 will now be responsible for three apparatus (US&R 2, Rescue Platform 2, and Heavy Rescue 2).
